The Itsy Bitsy went up the water spout…

by Justin on Dec.10, 2009, under Anodizing, Polishing

Polished Itsi BitsiAnother project to show our flexibility. Our one-zy two-zy customers keep us busy with unique projects like this one. We received the aluminum pieces to a putter head made by TaylorMade called the Itsy Bitsy Spider. The customer wants to have it color anodized. Here’s a picture of it polished up prior to anodizing. Oooo.. shiny! I hope to have a pic posted of it after anodized soon.

Variety work (Blackening an old grinder)

by Justin on Nov.22, 2009, under Blackening

IMG_5287[1]We just finished up refinishing an old hand crank type grinder. Items like these don’t polish up very well, so we typically abrasive blast them and run them throught the system with a matte finish. The customer is curious if they are worth anything but there are no serial numbers or manufacturer stampings to be found anywhere. If you have a lead on where we might find such info feel free to share.

Machine parts

by BlackCote on Nov.07, 2009, under Blackening

Parts from US Web ConJust got done with sizeable job for US Web Con. They used to do all their blackening by hand with a cold blue and hand applied. Much of their blackening work comes to us now since we offer such a fast turn around at a reasonable price. It also helps the our system turns out parts sooooo.. much nicer than hand work. The make lots of different widgets, large blocks, large rollers, weldments, small parts… etc.  as you can see in the picture. Check ‘em out at http://www.uswebcon.com/ if you could use a few parts made.
